US Citizenship Test 2026-Pulse — the iPhone app

This policy covers the iPhone app. The website works differently — it has accounts — and has its own website privacy policy.
The short version. This app has no accounts and never asks who you are. Your name, interview date, state, practice scores and starred questions are stored on your own device and are never sent to us. We could not look up your data if we wanted to, because we never receive it.
What stays on your device
Saved locally on your phone and nowhere else:
- the first name you optionally enter
- your naturalization interview date, if you add one
- your selected state or territory
- your practice test scores and history
- the questions you star for review
- your appearance and civics-test-version preferences
Deleting the app deletes all of it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to restore from other than your own device backups.
What leaves your device
Purchases, and nothing else. The one-time lifetime purchase is processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. To know whether you have purchased, we use RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated for your installation, plus your purchase record for this app. It does not receive your name, your email address, or anything you typed into the app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
What we do not do
- No analytics and no usage tracking.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across apps or websites. We do not show the iOS tracking prompt because we have nothing to track you with.
- We do not sell or share personal information. We have none to sell.
- No audio is recorded, transmitted or stored. The mock interview uses your device's own text-to-speech to read questions aloud; your microphone is never accessed. If speech scoring is ever added, it will ask for separate, explicit consent first.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete on request. To erase everything the app has stored, delete the app. Your purchase stays recoverable through Apple using Restore Purchases.

The civics questions and vocabulary lists are U.S. government works published by USCIS and are in the public domain. This app is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Homeland Security, or any government agency, and it does not provide legal advice.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
