Terms of Service
Last updated 7 September 2026
The short version. This is a study tool for citizenship tests, run by an independent developer. It is not a government service, not a law firm, and it cannot promise you will pass. Studying is free. Full access is a one-time $9.99 payment with no subscription. Be decent, don't resell the content, and we will not get in each other's way.
Who you are dealing with
Prepare for Citizenship is operated by Sandeep Sandha, a sole proprietor based in Sirsa, Haryana, India. You can reach us at hello@prepareforcitizenship.com.
Payments are taken by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the seller of record for your purchase and whose details appear on your receipt. See section 5.
1. What this service is
Prepare for Citizenship is a study tool for official citizenship and civics tests, available on this website and as an iPhone app. It gives you the official question pool for the country you choose, flashcards, practice tests in the real format, interview practice, and a report showing which sections you are weakest on.
2. What it is not
This is important, so it is near the top:
- Not a government service. We are independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Homeland Security, or any government or government agency of any country.
- Not legal or immigration advice. Nothing here is advice about your application, your eligibility, or your interview. For that, speak to a qualified immigration lawyer or an accredited representative.
- Not a guarantee. Using this does not guarantee you will pass your test or that your application will succeed. Those decisions belong to the authority handling your case.
- Not the official source. We take our content from official government publications and check it, but the official source is always the authority itself. Where they differ from us, they are right. Test formats and question pools change; verify anything critical with the authority before your interview.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the website, including the free part. When you create one:
- Give a real email address you can access. It is how you sign in and how we reach you about your account.
- The account is for you alone. Do not share your sign-in with other people.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Your country is fixed when you sign up. It decides your question pool and your pass mark, and every answer we record belongs to a section of that country's test. Changing it later would leave you with a progress report about a test you are not taking, so we do not allow it. If you chose wrong, contact us and we will fix it.
4. Free and paid
Free, with no time limit and no card required: every official question for your country, all flashcards, study by topic, the answers that depend on where you live, and one complete practice test.
Full access, a one-time $9.99 payment plus any tax your country charges: unlimited practice tests and interview practice. Paddle works out the tax at checkout and shows you the total before you pay. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. It stays with your account, so it works on any device you sign in on.
The free features stay free whether or not you pay.
A purchase on this website is separate from a purchase in the iPhone app. Apple's rules mean an app purchase is handled by Apple and cannot be transferred here, and a purchase here does not unlock the app. If that matters to you, buy in the place you intend to study.
5. Payment
Your payment is taken by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the seller of record. Paddle collects the payment, charges the correct tax for your country, and sends your receipt. Your card details are entered in Paddle's own secure window and never reach us. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the sale itself.
Sales are final. See our Refund Policy, which also explains the rights you keep by law and the mistakes we always put right.
6. Fair use
Please do not:
- copy, scrape or bulk-download the service to republish or resell it;
- share, sell or transfer your account to anyone else;
- try to get past the payment, break into other people's accounts, or interfere with the service or the people using it;
- use automated tools to hammer the service.
The official question pools are government works in the public domain in their own countries, and we make no claim over them. Everything else — the software, the design, the explanations and the way the material is organized — is ours.
7. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, to attack the service, or to harm other users. If we close a paid account for that reason, the payment is not refunded. If we close the service down entirely, we will say so with reasonable notice on this website.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service running and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. Where a change removes something you paid for, we will tell you.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim relating to this service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.
Because it is the most likely thing anyone would want to claim for: we are not liable for the outcome of your test, your interview or your application.
10. Privacy
The website's Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why. The iPhone app has its own policy, because the app has no accounts and stores nothing about you.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. If a change materially reduces what you get, we will tell account holders by email.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. This does not remove consumer protections you have where you live. The sale itself is between you and Paddle, under Paddle's own terms.
